The 二次转型 证书 program prepares professionals to advance their 职业生涯 with relevant coursework and an emphasis on putting transition knowledge into practice. Each course offers opportunities for real-world learning in school and/or community contexts. 事实上, our students often comment that the skills they learn in class are immediately applicable to their everyday work with transition-age youth.

程序 graduates are prepared to assume leadership positions in the provision of transition education and services within their K-12 schools, 社区机构, 以及高等教育机构. 程序 coursework is referenced to national Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Advanced Preparation Standards for Transition Specialists. A graduate certificate in secondary transition from BGSU assures potential employers that you possess the knowledge and skills necessary to support youth with disabilities as they transition from high school to adult life.

The program can be completed as a stand-alone certificate or as part of the M.Ed. in Special 教育 with a Specialization in 二次转型. 学生 who complete the 15-credit-hour certificate program need only six additional 课程 to complete the 30-credit-hour master’s program. Working professionals can complete the master’s program in under two years.
